OUR GROUP regularly undertakes research into the migratory shorebirds of Roebuck Bay. These shorebirds breed in the northern hemisphere, as far away as Siberia, and spend the reminder of their year here in Roebuck Bay.

The main activity is the capture, banding and release of birds for survival and migration studies. It is a privilege to hold these magnificent travelers in your hand. Newcomers and children are very welcome and will be given instruction in handling birds. The work is hot and hard and immensely rewarding!
